Visa Requirements & Letter of Invitation

Travelling to Poland is easy, however the documents you need vary depending on where you are from. Very often foreigners are not required to be in possession of a visa when entering Poland for less than 90 days. To make sure how it will be in your case, please consult the official polish government site http://www.msz.gov.pl/en/travel_to_poland/entering_poland/visa_free/visa_free_countries and http://www.msz.gov.pl/en/travel_to_poland/entering_poland/entering_poland.

If you must request a visa at the Polish consulate, you will need a personal invitation letter.

Participants that require an official invitation letter in order to obtain a visa should apply for this invitation at the very least several weeks in advance.

It should be understood, however, that such an invitation is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide financial support.

The deadline for this type of "Letter of Invitation" is 10 June 2013.

It should be understood that the organizers can only issue an Invitation which includes the time of the assembly plus the Saturdays and Sundays directly before and after the conference, respectively.

Please send your request for a "Letter of Invitation" to meteoroids2013(at)astro.amu.edu.pl .
